About This Role
- Design, build, and ship complex backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and AI/ML-powered features with hands-on coding.
- Drive technical design decisions for scalability, performance, security, and cost within the team or domain, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Provide hands-on mentorship to engineers and collaborate with product and clinical stakeholders to translate healthcare goals into scalable software solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven record of building and shipping production systems.
- Strong hands-on coding expertise in modern languages such as Python, Java, or Go; daily coding expected.
- Experience building and integrating AI/ML features into production systems and familiarity with operating production environments (CI/CD, monitoring, incident response).
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and operating distributed backend systems and data-intensive architectures within regulated domains like healthcare.
- Capable of leading technical direction through hands-on coding and direct mentorship rather than purely managerial tasks.
- Comfortable handling compliance, security, and healthcare data standards while balancing operational excellence and cost in cloud-native environments.
