About This Role
- Develop and maintain Java-based backend and data processing services supporting scalable data ingestion and transformation.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot distributed data and backend application systems involving APIs, databases, and large-scale platforms like Spark and Kafka.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver and operate performant, reliable, and maintainable backend data services in an Agile environment.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong hands-on Java development.
- Experience with data-oriented systems including ETL, backend data services, and distributed application design.
- Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, or similar large-scale data platform technologies.
- Contract position based in APAC with required U.S. Central Time coverage; preferably available through 11:00 a.m. U.S. Central Time.

- Experienced in building and supporting production Java services integrated with large-scale data platforms and distributed systems.
- Comfortable working within Agile cross-functional teams contributing quickly to existing codebases and operational systems.
