About This Role
- Own end-to-end people management including onboarding, performance evaluation, and growth plans for the Client Engineering team (~6 to 10+ engineers).
- Manage delivery and workflow for the web trading terminal, mobile app, website, and QA ensuring predictable shipping and quality.
- Build engineering processes from scratch: code review discipline, TypeScript standards, documentation, AI-assisted code verification, and unblock technical challenges as a player-coach (30-50% hands-on).
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5+ years of engineering management experience with full people-management ownership for a team of 8+ engineers.
- 8–12+ years total software engineering experience with strong expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Experience shipping high-performance, consumer-facing web and/or mobile products at scale.
- Must be based in Chennai and work in-person at the office.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building engineering processes from scratch in a scaling technology team.
- Comfortable as a player-coach balancing hands-on technical work and engineering management.
- Has operated in environments spanning both established, process-mature organizations and fast-scaling startups.
