About This Role
- Lead a team of 5-10 software engineers in developing and maintaining a global managed platform for open-source distributed applications (e.g., Cassandra, Kafka) that runs on major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Own end-to-end lifecycle management of platform aspects including infrastructure provisioning, application installation, and production reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers and senior engineering managers to set priorities, plan work, and support career development within the team.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial software development experience with proven leadership of software teams.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, and at least one other modern programming language (e.g., Python, Typescript, Rust).
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to manage team priorities and deliver results.
