About This Role
- Lead design and development of complex, enterprise-scale Java applications including backend and full-stack features with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Drive modernization initiatives from legacy or monolithic systems to modern, cloud-ready architectures, supporting microservices and high-performance data processing.
- Mentor engineers, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps, architecture), and ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and maintainability standards.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based software development on global or enterprise projects.
- MCA or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Strong technical skills in Java (8+), Spring Boot, RESTful API design, SQL, Angular or React, and experience with microservices architecture.
- Must be able to work and live in the UK without restriction; sponsorship not available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in product development environments following Lean Agile/Scrum methodologies with understanding of Product Development Lifecycle.
- Proficient in modern cloud technologies especially Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Azure cloud-native development.
- Capable of technical leadership including design trade-offs, performance optimization, and mentoring in a global, collaborative team setting.
