About This Role
- Design, develop, test, and support scalable APIs and backend services within Mastercard's Open Finance Europe Connectivity team.
- Contribute to system design decisions focused on scalability, resilience, and performance, ensuring stable production environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and improve observability, automation, and operational efficiency of backend services.
Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience building cloud-based, distributed backend systems with expertise in API development and production support.
- Proficiency with C#, .NET, Web APIs; experience with cloud platforms Azure and AWS components.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, testing practices, secure coding principles, and ownership of independent service/component delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in backend development operating large-scale, production-grade API services in cloud environments.
- Has background or exposure to payments, banking, or Open Banking (PSD2) ecosystems highly preferred.
- Familiar with microservices architecture, observability/monitoring tools, and modern development practices including CI/CD and secure coding.
