About This Role
- Own end-to-end data architecture and lifecycle for a healthcare data platform managing ~500 TB and ingesting ~50 GB daily.
- Lead design and scaling of SolrCloud search architecture to support multiple data sources and high-volume indexing with low-latency search.
- Develop scalable backend components primarily in Python, collaborate with Java/Spring services, and drive technical solutions from design through production deployment.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience.
- Strong production-level experience in Python development.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Apache Solr/Lucene at scale, preferably SolrCloud including sharding, routing, indexing, and query optimization.
- Good working knowledge of Java and Spring; strong SQL and data-modeling skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in large-scale data platforms and distributed search infrastructure with high-volume indexing and search optimization.
- Comfortable leading complex technical challenges autonomously within a small senior engineering team in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
- Background or willingness to work with healthcare data (e.g., emergency medical records) and metadata-driven platform design is a plus.
