Strong Tier-1 aerospace brand and Bangalore location increase competition, but senior niche safety-critical specialization reduces applicant density.
Safety-critical avionics protocols and DO-178 certification make roles poorly transferable across industries.
Multiple explicit years, aerospace certification, and protocol requirements make shortlisting highly selective.
Design, develop, and validate safety-critical embedded avionics software for aerospace platforms.
Lead full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities including architecture, requirements translation, design, verification, and validation strategy definition.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure aerospace certification compliance and mentor engineers driving technical excellence and process improvements.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related STEM discipline.
12+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably in aerospace or safety-critical industries.
8+ years of strong knowledge of aerospace software certification standards (DO-178, ARP4754A).
Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid work mode).
Experienced in deriving software requirements from customer/system requirements and defining verification/validation strategies over extended periods (7-8+ years).
Demonstrates deep expertise with avionics communication protocols (ARINC 429, AFDX, ARINC 653, ARINC 615A) and software lifecycle processes.
Proven leadership in technical mentoring and cross-functional collaboration in aerospace safety-critical software environments.
