About This Role
- Own and define the product model for Azure billing across diverse commercial constructs (EA, MCA, CSP/Partner-led, MSP-resold), including billing hierarchy, discounts, credits, and invoice reconciliation.
- Design and validate allocation, showback, chargeback, budgeting, and cost optimization models covering large Azure estates ($500K+ annual spend), with measurable cost reduction outcomes.
- Serve as the technical authority on Azure cost/billing for product and engineering teams, translating complex billing mechanics into actionable product requirements and supporting high-stakes customer engagements.
Minimum Requirements
- 8–12 years in cloud infrastructure or operations with Azure specialty; 4–5 years focused on FinOps, cloud billing, or cloud cost management.
- Hands-on experience with at least three Azure billing models (EA, MCA, CSP/Partner-led, MSP-resold) including detailed understanding of billing accounts, profiles, invoice sections, and commercial differences.
- Practical expertise in cost allocation, showback/chargeback model accepted by finance, budgeting with alerts, and reconciliation of usage data versus invoices on large Azure estates.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Deep domain expert in Azure cost management with operational experience driving cost savings on complex, multi-subscription Azure environments.
- Experienced in partnering closely with product management and engineering teams to translate intricate billing data and commercial rules into scalable cloud cost management solutions.
- Proficient in technical tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Terraform/Bicep, SQL/KQL) and skilled in balancing engineering and financial stakeholder communication for cost strategy execution.
