About This Role
- Lead application support with strategic decision-making and influence over technical strategy within the apps support sub-function.
- Solve high-impact, complex problems by analyzing business and system processes, developing methodologies and standards for application analysis and testing.
- Manage team resources and workload allocation; provide expert advice and coaching; collaborate with QA and support staff to ensure product functionality and operational stability post-release.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in an Applications Support role with subject matter expertise in one or more apps support areas.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Deep knowledge of mainframe z/OS environments, including COBOL, JCL, PL/I, REXX, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and debugging tools like OMEGAMON, STROBE, INTERTEST.
- Experience with IBM MQ Series, file transfer protocols (Connect:Direct), and enterprise scheduling tools (OPC, Autosys, Control-M, or CA-7).
