About This Role
- Own end-to-end delivery of platform features including backend microservices, data models, integrations, and UI components.
- Integrate and extend AI agent capabilities within a cloud-native, event-driven distributed system.
- Lead design, testing, documentation, and quality improvement of platform services, including use and critical review of AI coding tools.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, hiring across mid to lead levels based on ownership capability.
- Strong hands-on skills in TypeScript/Node.js and React.
- Experience building event-driven services involving message queues, background processing, or distributed data flows (beyond simple REST APIs).
- Daily practical experience using AI coding tools with sound judgement on their output.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced generalist comfortable owning features from design through deployment in distributed, cloud-native environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently translate high-level goals into working plans and deliver production-ready features.
- Comfortable working in regulated software environments prioritizing data integrity, validation, and traceability, especially in scientific or lab informatics domains.
