About This Role
- Own the architectural vision and strategic execution for scalable, reliable, and secure data platforms and pipelines across the organization.
- Lead and grow the data engineering team including hiring, mentoring, resource planning, and budget management to deliver on business-aligned data initiatives.
- Drive technology innovation by integrating AI, Big Data, cloud, and modern data ecosystem technologies, while ensuring operational excellence and Agile delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering and technology with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- 8+ years experience in Banking or Financial Services sector.
- Strong expertise in Abinitio, PySpark, Big Data technologies, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Oracle databases, and workflow scheduling tools such as Autosys/Control Centre.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader skilled in setting and executing long-term data engineering strategy aligned with business objectives, especially within financial services.
- Proven track record in architecting and managing large-scale enterprise data ecosystems, including legacy to cloud migrations and complex ETL processes.
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical projects into measurable business value, and effective communication with senior leadership and technical teams.
