About This Role
- Own architecture and technical roadmap for digital commerce platform including BigCommerce storefronts and headless commerce solutions.
- Lead design, delivery, and integration of scalable full stack ecommerce and internal applications with enterprise systems.
- Set technical standards, conduct architecture/code reviews, mentor developers, and drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools across teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years in software application development with at least 3 years working on BigCommerce or similar SaaS commerce platforms.
- Proficiency customizing BigCommerce storefronts using Stencil framework and strong experience with headless commerce architectures and REST/GraphQL integrations.
- Expertise in full stack development with JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js/React plus Java, C#, or Python and experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior engineer with proven ability to define technical strategy and lead complex, cross-functional commerce and application projects.
- In-depth ecommerce platform knowledge, specifically BigCommerce ecosystem and headless architectures, with strong API integration experience.
- Experience embedding AI-assisted coding tools and DevOps best practices into software engineering workflows in cloud environments.
