Senior Software Engineer - Java Fullstack, Officer

Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions primarily in enterprise Java within Charles River’s investment management software.

Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to produce simple, sustainable software solutions and provide thought leadership in product architecture design.

Lead problem solving for major projects, conduct code reviews, write unit and automation tests, and assist in agile development processes including sprint planning and cross-team coordination.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.

Minimum 9+ years of professional experience in core and enterprise Java, including concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.

8+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases; 6+ years in designing software for highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems, preferably with Financial Trading experience.

Extensive experience in RDBMS (Oracle and SQL Server) with expertise writing complex, high-performance SQL queries; 6+ years cloud-native application development experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure.

Experienced senior software engineer comfortable with complex, multi-tiered, high-performance database applications and enterprise Java ecosystems.

Demonstrated ability to lead architecture and design for large-scale, concurrent, event-driven systems, particularly in financial services or similar high-complexity domains.

Experienced in agile software development environments, skilled in mentoring junior staff and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
