About This Role
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions primarily in enterprise Java within Charles River’s investment management software.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to produce simple, sustainable software solutions and provide thought leadership in product architecture design.
- Lead problem solving for major projects, conduct code reviews, write unit and automation tests, and assist in agile development processes including sprint planning and cross-team coordination.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- Minimum 9+ years of professional experience in core and enterprise Java, including concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.
- 8+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases; 6+ years in designing software for highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems, preferably with Financial Trading experience.
- Extensive experience in RDBMS (Oracle and SQL Server) with expertise writing complex, high-performance SQL queries; 6+ years cloud-native application development experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure.

- Experienced senior software engineer comfortable with complex, multi-tiered, high-performance database applications and enterprise Java ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead architecture and design for large-scale, concurrent, event-driven systems, particularly in financial services or similar high-complexity domains.
- Experienced in agile software development environments, skilled in mentoring junior staff and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
