About This Role
- Design and develop IIoT hardware platforms and software integration layers, including control plane and data plane software for Cisco IIoT Wireless products.
- Develop low-level software components such as BSP, radio device drivers, kernel modules, and undertake debugging, testing, simulation, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product requirements, functional specifications, and test plans; innovate to drive patent filings and intellectual property creation.
Minimum Requirements
- 8-12 years experience with Bachelor's degree or 6-10 years with Master’s in Computer Science, EE/ECE or related fields.
- Strong expertise in C/C++, Linux/RTOS/Networking OS internals, wireless communication protocols (802.11ac/ax/be), and radio firmware/system architecture.
- Experience in LEO satellite communication systems, LTE/5G NR, cellular gateways, SIM-based connectivity, and satellite-based wireless backhaul architectures.
- Technical leadership experience and hands-on skills with Gen AI assistant technologies or NLP (OpenAI, Gemini, MCP, Agentic AI etc.).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing and debugging complex networking software across multiple layers including RF, firmware, driver, and system integration.
- Proven ability to lead high-performance teams and deliver quality features in large-scale networking products with industrial and satellite communication focus.
- Exhibits deep domain knowledge in wireless protocols, satellite internet architectures (including Starlink), and hands-on experience with traffic analysis tools like IXIA and Wireshark.
