About This Role
- Analyze and resolve mainframe DB2 system infrastructure issues including setup, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Contribute to strategic IT infrastructure planning and operational execution for client projects, ensuring technical and timeline risks are identified early.
- Collaborate across teams as a subject matter expert on mainframe DB2, supporting system integration, automation, and migration efforts on multiple projects.
Minimum Requirements
- 9 to 13 years of Mainframe DB2 System Programming experience with expertise in Monoplex, SYSPLEX, and data sharing architectures.
- Skills in DB2 subsystem setup, backup and recovery methodologies, REXX/CLIST scripting, and familiarity with transactional environments such as CICS and IMS.
- Proficient in SMP/E processes, software migration/maintenance for DB2 versions 9, 10, and 11, and DB2 system performance tuning on z/OS.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; Work Experience Required: 9 to 13 years in relevant domain.
