About This Role
- Own and lead end-to-end development of native Android applications controlling industrial robots.
- Set and evolve the technical roadmap for the Android mobile platform focusing on real-time data handling, UI/UX for field operators, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with robotics, hardware, and backend teams to deliver reliable, low-latency robot control interfaces.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-3 years professional Android development experience with a strong record of shipping complex, production-grade native apps.
- Expert-level Kotlin skills and deep understanding of Android SDK, app architectures (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture), and lifecycle components.
- Experience designing/maintaining apps handling real-time data, low-latency communication, and hardware/device control in resource-constrained or safety-critical contexts.
- Familiarity with concurrency, multithreading, performance optimization, networking protocols (REST, WebSockets, MQTT), and SQLite database design.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in owning complex Android codebases and making independent technical decisions at a senior engineer level despite limited years of experience.
- Comfortable working across domains including robotics, embedded hardware, and backend services, highlighting cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Skilled in building or customizing HMI layers for industrial or embedded devices and integrating system-level Android customizations.
