About This Role
- Coordinate purchasing and procurement activities with manufacturing, engineering, and sourcing teams to acquire materials, components, equipment, and services cost-effectively and on time.
- Manage purchase orders in SAP including pricing, source list, lot size, lead time, and resolve related issues with suppliers and internal departments.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct reviews, support continuous improvement projects, and implement lean supply chain practices like consignment/VMI.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6+ years of procurement experience with manufacturing plant exposure, preferably in Electrical Industry.
- Advanced expertise in SAP and Excel; familiarity with procurement procedures and cost analysis.
- Location: Onsite in Chennai plant, Kancheepuram, India; Domestic travel up to 25%.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in procurement within India with sourcing exposure and knowledge of supply chain, contract, and supplier management in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform cost analysis, volume planning, process optimization, and implement continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Capable of collaborating and working cross-functionally in a complex global organization environment to drive supplier performance and procurement effectiveness.
