About This Role
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and automation for cloud financial management, focusing on AWS cost tracking, allocation, governance, and reporting.
- Drive improvements in Kubernetes engineering and automation, enhancing developer experience and platform reliability in a cloud-native environment.
- Collaborate with application, platform, and SRE/DevOps teams to embed engineering standards and promote efficient cloud usage patterns through software and policy-as-code guardrails.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with backend services in production, focusing on reliability and operational readiness.
- Proficiency in Go for application development and Python for tooling and automation.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes (ideally EKS), including workload management, scaling, and cluster operation.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud financial management including cost allocation, tagging, anomaly detection, budgeting, and cost optimization strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced engineer with strong expertise in both software development (particularly Go and Python) and Kubernetes operational best practices within AWS cloud environments.
- Skilled in cloud cost governance and financial management, able to translate cost and usage data into actionable engineering solutions.
- Capable of driving cross-team collaboration to integrate efficient cloud cost management practices into engineering workflows and platform operations.
