About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications and services with focus on scalability, security, and reliability.
- Own end-to-end delivery including defining requirements, resolving defects, and improving system performance and developer productivity via tooling and automation.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, participate in code reviews, and mentor engineers to raise team output and maintain engineering standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficient in Java development (Java 11, Spring 5, Spring Boot 3) with exposure to full-stack technologies including HTML, CSS, JSON, Angular 10+, JavaScript is highly desirable.
- Advanced SQL skills with PL/SQL development and performance tuning experience on Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- DevOps experience with GitLab CI/CD automation and knowledge of security authentication/authorization mechanisms (OIDC OAuth, Azure MFA).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced back-end engineer comfortable working across the stack including front-end exposure and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
- Capable of driving technical strategy and architectural discussions in APIs, data models, observability, scalability, and reliability.
- Able to mentor peers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and pragmatically apply emerging technologies to improve software quality and team productivity.
