Oversee production and delivery of fundamental energy market data models and standalone models using PLEXOS and Aurora in Pune office.
Lead power market research, analyze, process data, and benchmark end-to-end production cost models ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Troubleshoot market models, maintain large energy-related databases, interpret model results, and recommend improvements.
Minimum Requirements
8-10 years of experience with energy modelling and power market analysis.
Mandatory knowledge/experience in North American, European, or Asian power markets; experience in APAC energy trading markets (India, Japan, Philippines) is required.
Experience with production cost modelling software such as PLEXOS (preferred), Aurora, PROMOD or similar.
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics (preferred), Electrical Engineering (Transmission preferred), or Mathematics.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced leader capable of managing multiple overlapping projects while delegating and driving completion independently.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability in energy economics and market fundamentals, with hands-on expertise in power market modelling tools and data analysis.
Background in consulting, market operation, project development, or utility sectors with familiarity in Agile/Sprint methodologies and advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
