About This Role
- Own and lead strategic sourcing and category strategies for optical components across multi-region/direct and indirect spend.
- Drive advanced supplier negotiations, complex contracting, and embed compliance, regulatory, and sustainability into sourcing decisions.
- Mitigate supply, cost, and geopolitical risks through proactive strategies and partner with engineering/business leaders for early supplier involvement and innovation.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience in global/region commodity role within a multinational company.
- At least 5 years experience specifically in optical components sourcing or related domain.
- Strong knowledge of optical transceivers, optical components (CPO, silicon photonics, lasers, fiber interfaces), and high-speed optical transceiver architecture.
- Ability to collaborate with global teams and suppliers particularly across Asia-Pacific; Travel required 10-25%.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading complex, multi-region sourcing strategies with measurable impact on supply resilience and innovation.
- Domain expert in optical technologies including optical transmission, AI/accelerated computing interconnect components, and supplier market dynamics.
- Comfortable working onsite in Bangalore with cross-functional global stakeholders and driving compliance and sustainability initiatives in sourcing.
