About This Role
- Own the metrics API and data-serving layer of a customer-facing reporting platform, ensuring correctness and performance of metrics delivered through a FastAPI backend.
- Design, evolve, and ensure multi-tenant isolation of the data model using SQLModel and Alembic migrations applied safely to live data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally by building and reviewing React/TypeScript frontend features and supporting the full stack in production, including triage of customer issues.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years building production backend services with at least 3 years of Python experience in a modern async stack.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend feature development and code review is mandatory.
- Strong FastAPI, PostgreSQL (including asyncpg and query plan analysis), advanced SQL, OAuth2/OIDC/JWT for API authorization, and multi-tenant application experience.
- Experience with Alembic migrations on live production data and testing frameworks like pytest with async patterns.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced full-stack engineer comfortable owning both backend API/data model and frontend React/TypeScript code with a backend focus.
- Skilled in production-quality metric reconciliation and performance tuning in multi-tenant SaaS environments.
- Familiar with modern cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD workflows, and observability tools for production diagnostics.
