About This Role
- Independently analyze and resolve complex network and security incidents within Zeiss Cloud services and infrastructure, ensuring service stability and operational continuity.
- Monitor and troubleshoot using logs, packet captures, and analytics across technologies including WASP (Akamai CDN & WAF), SSE (Zscaler), and WAN (SD-WAN, MPLS), with a focus on WASP expertise.
- Act as a technical escalation point, lead operational improvements and projects end-to-end, collaborate closely with Service Owners, internal teams, and external providers for incident resolution.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in incident, request, change, and problem management related to network security.
- Strong hands-on expertise in at least one domain: WASP (Akamai WAF & CDN preferred), SSE (Zscaler), or WAN (SD-WAN, MPLS).
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, nslookup, traceroute) and strong understanding of network protocols, OSI model, and web/application layer technologies.
- Willingness to work 24x7 rotational shifts and be available on-call as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Deep technical knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting skills mainly in WASP (Akamai) with the ability and willingness to expand expertise to SSE and WAN domains.
- Experience working in L3 NOC or similar complex network operations environments, with accountability for escalation and leading resolution efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements, document procedures (SOP/KB), and mentor junior team members in a structured, process-driven environment.
