Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own the design and implementation of repeatable operating systems for Sales, Customer Success, Hiring, and Financial planning within a fast-growing SaaS company of ~20 people.
- Build and manage key performance measurement frameworks such as sales win rate, forecast accuracy, gross retention rate (GRR), hiring speed and quality, and profitability against plan.
- Lead weekly operating cadence, quarterly planning, and maintain dashboards to ensure accountability and operational transparency without owning direct functional results.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in general management, business operations, or chief of staff roles, including experience in companies with fewer than 200 employees.
- Proven experience building operating systems for functions not personally run, recognized and appreciated by functional leaders.
- Work Experience Required: 10+ years including general management and operations roles; specific domain experience in B2B SaaS revenue engines is expected.
- Location: Must be Bengaluru-based and work on-site with the team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Has previously operated as a second-in-command or key operational leader in founder-led, profitable, capital-efficient B2B SaaS companies under 200 employees.
- Experienced in building forecast models and retention systems that deliver measurable impact on revenue and churn metrics, supported by a strong grasp of SaaS business metrics (pipeline, win rate, GRR, NRR, CAC).
- Comfortable being the sole person in their function initially, skilled in documentation, detailed analysis (including call reviews, spreadsheet modeling), and direct communication with founders about missed commitments.
