Tier-1 brand, metro location, and generic 'Software Engineer' title increase qualified applicant density.
Requires deep data-platform, streaming, and performance engineering, making cross-industry transfers difficult.
Explicit 7+ years requirement plus mandatory large-scale data, streaming, and language stack enforces strict filtering.

Own and evolve the end-to-end data platform including multiple data stores (relational, analytical/columnar, object storage, caches) and data pipelines for streaming, compute, and transformation.
Manage data performance, capacity modeling, cost efficiency, multi-tenant isolation, and operational capabilities such as backup, restore, replication, migration, and data-quality.
Build and maintain performance tooling, observability instrumentation, and participate in debugging, monitoring, on-call support, and architectural direction in a large-scale production environment.
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years experience or Master's degree with 4+ years in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Strong backend software engineering experience with scalable, reliable, production-grade data-intensive services and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with OLTP databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), analytical/columnar stores (e.g., ClickHouse, Druid), and streaming/queueing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Proficient in Python and at least one additional backend language (Go, Java, C++), experience with cloud-native tech, containerization (Kubernetes), and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Experienced in complex data platform ownership with focus on scalability, performance, cost optimization, and multi-tenant isolation.
Comfortable leading technical decisions, mentoring peers, designing capacity models, and handling production-scale operational challenges.
Capable of translating technical performance and cost metrics into actionable recommendations for engineering and product teams.
