About This Role
- Lead and provide high-level consultation for systems operations initiatives impacting technology teams and infrastructure planning.
- Review and make decisions on complex technical challenges and escalated support issues related to core business systems.
- Design and deliver software automation for operations, manage system reliability including monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure resilience.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience.
- Experience with application monitoring tools (e.g., AppD, Splunk, ELK), observability, and cloud deployments.
- Proficiency in Java or Python programming and experience with CI/CD and Config Management tools like Jenkins and Ansible.
- Experience in Linux, databases (Oracle SQL, MongoDB), DevOps practices, and Autosys workload automation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader comfortable working with engineering teams and mid-level managers to resolve complex systems issues.
- Strong background in monitoring, site reliability engineering principles, and automation to ensure stable, resilient platforms.
- Skilled in troubleshooting high priority incidents, conducting post-mortems, and implementing improvements aligned with SLOs and error budgeting.
