About This Role
- Lead multiple project teams in design, development, and integration of complex platform and system software for next-generation cloud converged metro and edge routing products.
- Manage relationships and coordinate efforts with internal and outsourced development partners, ensuring compliance with system design and quality standards.
- Provide domain expertise and technical leadership, driving innovation and mentoring less-experienced engineers in hardware-proximate system software development.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 14+ years of relevant experience in systems software engineering.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++; experience with hardware-level software components including device drivers, Linux/OS fundamentals required.
- Onsite work expectation at an HPE office; expertise in optics, PCIe, SPI, I2C, FPGA, Ethernet Interfaces (10GE-400GE), and timing protocols (SyncE, PTP) preferred.
