About This Role
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for software enhancements and new products, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and internet-related tools.
- Lead project teams including internal and outsourced partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality system software solutions.
- Create and execute testing plans, debug issues, communicate design status and project progress to management, and provide mentorship to less-experienced engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 5-9 years of relevant work experience.
- Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and programming languages.
- Ability to work primarily onsite at an HPE office (Onsite role).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing software systems running on multiple platform types with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to independently lead and manage complex software system engineering projects, including coordination with internal and outsourced teams.
- Effective communicator with ability to explain product architectures and design proposals to management and provide mentorship to junior staff.
