About This Role
- Own design, development, and operation of scalable, resilient backend Java/Spring Boot services and low-latency APIs for inventory availability, order promising, and fulfilment.
- Implement concurrency-control and consistency patterns to prevent overselling and maintain transactional integrity in high-demand distributed commerce systems.
- Lead technical design decisions, mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure operational excellence including monitoring and troubleshooting production services.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience building and operating scalable, high-availability, consumer-facing platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka (or similar event-streaming platforms), and Redis (or equivalent caching).
- Deep understanding and experience with concurrency, consistency, transactional integrity patterns to prevent overselling in distributed commerce environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in event-driven, distributed commerce systems with expertise in inventory management, order promising, and related operational concerns.
- Proven ability to independently own complex services end-to-end and lead component-level design and architecture discussions in a global digital commerce environment.
- Hands-on experience with OMS platforms (Fluent Commerce, IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan Associates, Kibo, or Salesforce OMS) and designing resilient solutions for peak trading and high-volume conditions.
