Backend Principal Engineer / Lead Engineer (Python/Django)

Lead a critical engineering team responsible for core product engineering and strategic client platform customization from Bangalore hub.

Spend 50-60% time on hands-on coding, technical design, and solving complex client integration challenges using Python, Django, Azure AKS, and related technologies.

Own end-to-end delivery of scalable, secure services, cloud infrastructure strategy, client integrations, and maintain software engineering best practices.

Strong Python and Django development skills essential.

Minimum 3 years people management experience in a startup environment.

Minimum 5 years recent experience in software product launching and maintenance within the last 8 years.

Prior experience as a Founder or early-stage member of a startup; valid passport and travel eligibility.

Experienced in both hands-on coding and managing developer teams in product and client delivery contexts.

Familiar with cloud infrastructure management (Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes AKS) and modern technologies including AI/ML integration.

Capable of leading technical architecture, client collaboration, and driving delivery excellence in a fast-growing retail technology startup.
