Define test plans, design and develop test scripts to validate firmware for Enterprise and Datacenter NVMe SSD products.
Collaborate closely with firmware development teams during product lifecycle to identify defects and validate fixes using grey and whitebox tests.
Communicate program status, issues, validation strategies, and drive issues to closure by interfacing with cross-functional product development teams.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
10+ years of experience in SSD Firmware Validation.
Strong understanding of NVMe/PCIe specifications and ability to prepare test plans covering Front End, Back End, FTL, or Security firmware areas.
Proficiency in Linux debugging and Python coding; hands-on experience with NVMe protocol debugging using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers is highly desired.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in whitebox and greybox test methods specifically for Enterprise/Datacenter SSD firmware validation.
Capable of independently managing multiple projects with expertise in planning, tracking and prioritization under ambiguous conditions.
Deep understanding of system storage components (CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, firmware) and their interrelationship with SSD firmware validation.
