Principal Software Engineer | CASB, AVC

Lead architecture and technical strategy for Cisco Secure Access components CASB and AVC focusing on application discovery, granular controls, and SaaS content protection.

Drive AI-assisted intelligence transformation for application classification and embed AI capabilities across product development lifecycle.

Provide cross-team technical leadership to scale capabilities in security, privacy, scalability, and ensure alignment with product and threat landscapes.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Typically 12+ years of software engineering experience including architecture and leadership across multiple teams.

Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale, cloud-native distributed systems and integrating AI/ML capabilities into products or workflows.

Strong background in cloud-delivered web, SaaS, network, or data security with knowledge of policy enforcement and data protection.

Experienced leader skilled at translating customer needs and emerging threats into scalable security capabilities in cloud SaaS environments.

Proven ability to balance hands-on engineering with mentoring and guiding complex architectural designs.

Expertise in AI-powered security features, application intelligence platforms, and managing large-scale multi-tenant cloud services.
