Software Engineer-Network programming, SDK, C/C++, P4

Design, develop, and enhance software for Cisco Nexus data center switching platforms, focusing on Ethernet switching technologies.

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of related experience.

Strong programming skills in C and/or C++ and proficiency in Python.

Experience in embedded or networking software development for routers and switches, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and packet forwarding.

Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills with tools like GDB; familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and experience using traffic generation and validation tools like IXIA and Spirent.

Experienced in SDK development and integration on networking ASICs, NPUs, or DPUs and knowledgeable about Ethernet switching and modern data center networking technologies.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, drive feature ownership across multiple teams, and influence software architecture and design.

Capable of working in cross-functional global teams and mentoring junior engineers, with strong focus on high-quality, scalable, and production-ready networking software solutions.
