Technical Support Engineering, Staff Engineer

Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Synopsys Structural Products addressing complex engineering simulation issues such as nonlinear analysis and explicit dynamics.

Maintain long-term customer relationships in Japan, acting as their technical partner to ensure effective adoption and use of simulation software.

Create and update technical documentation and defect reports to improve product quality and support scalability of technical knowledge within the team.

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.

Minimum 4 years of professional experience working with engineering simulation software in industry or customer-facing roles.

Fluency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken, required for communication of complex technical concepts.

Experience with Synopsys Structural software (Mechanical, LS-Dyna) or equivalent CAE tools such as Abaqus, Nastran; strong foundation in structural and nonlinear analysis, numerical methods, and explicit dynamics.

Experienced in solving vague or complex customer simulation problems independently, including root cause analysis and providing working solutions without step-by-step guidance.

Skilled at managing multiple customer cases simultaneously while maintaining communication and prioritization of critical issues.

Able to communicate complex nonlinear simulation failures effectively to non-specialists and comfortable learning new technical domains or AI-based tools related to simulation workflows.
