Manage application support, development, and day 2 activities for Microsoft Azure cloud data platforms including migration of on-premise data warehouses to Azure.
Act as Subject Matter Expert during business interactions and future system growth planning, maintaining high quality and efficient design of data engineering pipelines and applications.
3-5 years of experience in Azure Data Engineering.
Experience migrating on-premise data warehouses to Azure cloud platforms with skills in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL.
Graduate or Post-graduate degree preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines), relational and dimensional modeling, working within secured Azure environments (KeyVaults, Service Principals, Managed Identities).
Experienced in end-to-end Azure data platform delivery including ingestion, transformation, and visualization (Power BI) in financial or actuarial data contexts.
Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills, able to work collaboratively with UK-based finance and technology teams as well as external suppliers.
Comfortable driving application support and development in offshore team settings, adhering to organizational risk and process controls within complex regulated environments.
