Own the development, maintenance, and execution of tests and test harnesses to characterize product technical quality.
Create detailed test plans and cases; estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate functional, regression, and system testing activities.
Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to define test requirements and help resolve issues, occasionally serving as debugging expert during escalations.
5-8 years of work experience in software testing or development in test roles.
Hands-on experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
Experience with automated testing tools and applying Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Familiarity with application servers (Web Logic, Web Sphere, Tomcat) and database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server).
Strong diagnostic and debugging skills, able to resolve complex system issues and configuration problems independently.
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple testing tasks with minimal supervision within distributed/global teams.
Experience working closely in cross-functional teams including product management and engineering in Agile environments.
