Lead FPGA Firmware Engineer

Define FPGA firmware requirements and develop business-critical designs for Control & Protection systems in HVDC projects.

Enhance and maintain product features including legacy products to meet product requirements and timelines.

Create and maintain functional/test specifications and manufacturing data packs, ensuring designs comply with company documentation standards.

Degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience with at least 8 years total experience.

Minimum 5 years of FPGA design experience using VHDL or Verilog.

Strong knowledge of FPGA devices and tools including Altera, Microsemi, Xilinx (Quartus II, Libero SoC).

Expertise in hardware/FPGA debugging and experience in high-speed digital hardware design and PCB layout.

Experienced in system requirements analysis and hardware function definition, particularly for real-time control applications.

Proven ability to independently resolve technical issues in multi-disciplinary team settings.

Familiarity with agile development, scripting (Perl, Python), version control (SVN, GIT), and bug tracking (JIRA) advantageous but not mandatory.
