About This Role
- Lead a technical pod of 3-6 DevOps/DevSecOps engineers, accountable end-to-end for architecture, code quality, and delivery across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and applications on Azure and GCP.
- Drive technical direction with hands-on contributions (~80% time) in IaC, pipelines, and code; run design/code reviews; enforce security & compliance standards (FedRAMP, FIPS, CIS, ISO, PCI).
- Manage project delivery: sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release/change management, capacity forecasting, and stakeholder reporting.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years in software or platform engineering with at least 2 years in a technical lead/architect role managing 3+ engineers.
- Recent hands-on coding experience within the last 12 months mandatory.
- Technical expertise in Azure (preferred) or AWS/GCP cloud architectures including Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), and DevSecOps tools (SAST/DAST/SCA, secrets management).
- Experience embedding security/compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FIPS, CIS, ISO, PCI) and observability tools; proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python/PowerShell).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven technical leader comfortable balancing 80% hands-on architecture/coding with 20% team/project management duties within regulated enterprise or consulting environments.
- Strong background in cloud-native DevOps/DevSecOps architecture and delivering complex, compliant infrastructure and application workloads in Azure or multi-cloud settings.
- Experienced in AI-assisted development workflows and integrating security governance in DevOps pipelines with demonstrated clear ownership and accountability for operational delivery outcomes.
