Lead Infrastructure Engineer - India

Own and architect the Kubernetes-native infrastructure foundation for new integration products, including cluster setup, IaC, secrets, identity, messaging, and observability.

Make foundational infrastructure decisions in a greenfield environment impacting multi-tenant isolation, hybrid & on-prem deployment, durability, and EU data sovereignty compliance.

Build and eventually lead a team while being hands-on with Terraform, Kubernetes configurations, Kafka setup, and observability stack deployment.

5+ years owning production infrastructure end-to-end at a startup or scale-up with full accountability, ideally as an early or first infrastructure hire.

Expertise in Kubernetes (both cloud-managed like EKS/GKE and on-premise/self-hosted distributions) with deep knowledge of tenant isolation patterns and security policies.

Strong experience with hybrid networking and connectivity (VPNs, mTLS, reverse proxies, WireGuard) for cloud and on-prem communication.

Proficiency with Terraform for modular IaC, Apache Kafka production setups, identity and secrets infrastructure (e.g., Keycloak, Vault), CI/CD pipelines, and observability technologies (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo).

Senior engineer capable of setting technical direction independently and making architecture decisions on multi-tenant, hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Experience in greenfield infrastructure builds and ownership of production-grade Kubernetes and Kafka environments with compliance considerations (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act).

Operates effectively within small, fast-moving technical teams and is comfortable hands-on with coding, debugging, and infrastructure automation.
