Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs supporting Lam Research's etch and deposition products.
Implement new customer requirements and maintain existing application codebase with clear documentation and structured code.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure software and hardware integration and may involve less than 10% travel to customer sites.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience, OR advanced degree with no professional experience, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Software, Design, or Programming including Design Patterns and Finite State Machines.
Experience with multithreading including preemptive thread scheduling.
Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in designing and maintaining software for hardware integration in semiconductor or similar technical products.
Comfortable working collaboratively in a centralized software engineering team environment.
Able to support customer needs through occasional site visits (less than 10% travel).
