Provide 24x7 production support and maintenance for business-critical mainframe applications, ensuring SLA compliance.
Monitor batch jobs and online transactions using CA7, Control-M; analyze and resolve incidents including abends, DB2, IMS, job failures, and system failures.
Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams; support change management, releases, and production deployments while maintaining production documentation.
Minimum Requirements
6-8 years of relevant experience in mainframe production support.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM and familiarity with job scheduling tools like CA7 and Control-M.
Experience working in ITIL-based support environments; ability to handle rotating 24x7 shifts including weekends.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in IBM Mainframe environments supporting batch and online processing in production critical settings.
Strong problem-solving skills with capability to perform root cause analysis and provide permanent fixes in complex systems.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and infrastructure teams under ITIL processes, preferably with background in banking or financial domain.
