Medium due to Tier-1 brand and Bangalore metro, but niche ASIC/emulation specialization limits applicant pool.
High because FPGA, hardware emulation, and ASIC bring-up expertise is highly industry-specific and not easily transferable.
High because explicit 8+ years requirement and specialized FPGA, emulation, HDL, and tooling skills are mandatory.

Lead the initial setup, configuration, stabilization, and diagnostics of FPGA prototyping and emulation platforms during early project bring-up.
Act as the primary troubleshooter for complex system-level failures, isolating root causes across hardware, FPGA/emulator setup, and boot-code boundaries.
Develop automation and monitoring tools to maximize reliability and throughput of global emulation and prototyping infrastructure, and support product firmware engineers in hardware/software co-verification.
8 to 15 years of experience in pre-silicon development, hardware verification, or platform bring-up.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Proven experience with large-scale FPGA prototyping platforms and hardware emulation environments (e.g., Synopsys HAPS, Cadence Palladium).
Advanced Python scripting skills and familiarity with debugging tools such as JTAG, protocol analyzers, and logic analyzers.
Possesses broad systems-level knowledge bridging firmware, silicon design, and hardware validation with focus on platform bring-up and co-verification.
Experienced with system-level debugging across hardware, FPGA/emulation configuration, and early boot software.
Able to independently manage complex platform infrastructure and create standardized debug/playbook documentation for team and customer use.
