Define and develop test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate SSD firmware for Micron NAND-based NVMe/PCIe systems through functional, system-level, and customer-specific testing.
Collaborate with hyperscale/datacenter customers throughout the product lifecycle to improve cycle times and customer quality for SSD products.
Analyze test results, communicate status and issues, and drive closure of firmware validation problems by coordinating with cross-functional development teams.
8-14 years of experience in embedded firmware or at least 8 years in SSD product validation.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Mandatory skills: Expertise in NVMe/PCIe specifications, experience in test plan creation for IO workloads, NVMe protocols, Flash Translation Layer, back-end NAND media management, and using Lecroy/JDSU analyzers for NVMe protocol debugging.
Required knowledge of Windows/Linux OS debugging, Python coding, and SSD firmware validation including experience with UNH and PCIe-CV test suites or comparable validation frameworks.
Experienced in working with datacenter compute and storage environments, preferably with hyperscale/cloud customers, capable of managing complex SSD validation programs.
Demonstrates strong planning, tracking, and project management abilities, able to handle multiple priorities and visualize big picture impacts.
Skilled in leveraging AI tools for coding, report generation, root cause analysis, and debugging within a collaborative cross-functional team setting.
