Lead design and migration strategy from legacy Java/Groovy/Oracle stack to a modern Python-based cloud data platform primarily on AWS.
Build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure serving thousands of clients and petabyte-scale data volumes.
Drive technical strategy including prioritization, execution, enforcing quality standards, and operational ownership including cost optimization and tech debt reduction.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 6 years professional experience in Software or Data Engineering.
Proficiency in Python and SQL; strong experience with Java or Groovy preferred, especially for legacy system migration.
Experience designing and building cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) including large-scale data pipelines (>1TB/day) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery).
Location requirement: Work from office minimum 3 days/week; occasional travel possible.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native platforms with strong architectural design skills.
Comfortable managing risk and continuity across heterogeneous technology stacks involving both legacy and modern data ecosystems.
Capable of independently leading technical strategy, code quality standards, operational processes, and mentoring team members in complex data engineering environments.
