Drive the execution and continual improvement of the bank’s internal controls framework, focusing on design and operational effectiveness within Finance, particularly Product Control and Financial Control.
Lead a large team or function, managing strategic control initiatives, providing expert risk and controls advice to senior finance stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Oversee governance, risk assessment, issue management, data analytics, automation projects, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the control environment within the Finance division globally.
Work Experience Required: Extensive experience over 15 years in Internal/External Audit, Operational Risk Management, or Risk and Control disciplines within Banking, Financial Services, or Big 4 senior roles.
Preferred qualifications include Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a premier institution; technical accounting / IFRS knowledge is mandatory.
Strong leadership and people management skills with proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.
Experience with Finance processes in Banking, including Product Control and Financial Control; knowledge of risks and controls in Financial Services, particularly Investment Banking and Treasury.
Senior leader with proven track record leading large teams and managing complex, strategic risk and control programs in large banking/financial services environments.
Experience in integrating risk and controls frameworks across global finance operations, with deep understanding of regulatory compliance and internal audit processes.
Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders across multiple geographies and functions.
