Software Engineer II, Java ,Platform engineering

Own design and implementation of scalable, maintainable software solutions across multiple application components within the Acquisition Enablement Platform.

Deliver high-quality, secure code with rigorous peer reviews and implement comprehensive automated testing practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues by performing root-cause analysis and implementing preventative fixes.

Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies including Spring Boot and microservices architectures.

At least 2 years applied software engineering experience with platform engineering supporting production microservices and key performance metrics (SLIs/SLOs).

Experience with prompt engineering using LLM tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, Copilot) for code generation and integration into production-grade services; must use JPMC-approved tools.

Work Experience Required: 5+ years software development with 2+ years platform engineering experience.

Strong expertise in object-oriented design and microservices design patterns with practical implementation experience in cloud environments (AWS exposure).

Experienced in agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban aligned with iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

Able to leverage AI-assisted development tools within secure coding standards to improve code quality, delivery speed, and automation value.
