Process Automation Engineer India

Lead implementation and support of automation systems to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability of bioethanol production processes in India/APAC.

Assess and upgrade automation infrastructure, instrumentation, and training at bioethanol plants; develop digital tools for fermentation data integration and visualization.

Collaborate with regional teams to optimize process control, diagnose automation issues, conduct training, and drive continuous process improvements.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years experience in process automation, preferably in bioethanol or similar process industries.

Proficiency in PLC and DCS programming; strong knowledge of process control principles and instrumentation technologies.

Location: Based in Mumbai or home office in India with >50% travel within India and occasional overseas travel.

Experienced in process automation specifically within bioethanol or related industrial fermentation environments.

Capable of independently assessing, designing, and deploying automation and digital fermentation tools collaboratively across multiple sites.

Able to translate complex technical automation concepts to cross-functional teams and drive impactful process optimizations.
