About This Role
- Own end-to-end outcomes for the Platform Engineering domain, including strategy, technical direction, and results impacting the entire policy lifecycle systems.
- Lead hiring, mentoring, and growth of engineering teams and leads, ensuring architectural excellence and coding standards across multiple teams.
- Drive operational excellence including system reliability, observability, incident response, and cross-team architectural decisions influencing service decomposition and data consistency.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of engineering management experience, including managing senior ICs and platform teams in high-growth environments.
- Proven experience with event-driven microservices (Kafka, async event processing, schema versioning) and backend architecture for large-scale web applications.
- Hands-on familiarity with AWS, TypeScript/Node.js backend services; experience with monitoring tools like Datadog or equivalents.
- Strong written communication skills demonstrated through PRDs, design documents, and postmortems.

- Experienced leader who can operate both strategically and with technical depth, shaping architecture and team culture in a platform engineering context.
- Track record of building high-performing engineering teams and mentoring senior engineers and leads.
