Senior Software Engineer, Java Officer

Lead design, development, testing, and debugging of medium to large software enhancements primarily in enterprise Java within a Front Office Trading team.

Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate business requirements into sustainable software solutions.

Provide engineering support to customer support and implementation teams, including mentoring junior engineers.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.

8+ years professional experience in software engineering with expertise in enterprise Java technologies, including concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.

6+ years experience designing software for highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems; Financial Trading systems experience is highly preferred.

Minimum 2 years cloud native development experience (preferably Microsoft Azure), plus skills in SpringBoot, Microservices, Kafka, and strong RDBMS experience (Oracle, SQL Server).

Experienced with developing scalable, high-transaction enterprise Java applications in financial trading or similar domains.

Capable of working independently on complex software development projects with minimal supervision and contributing to design and architecture discussions.

Familiar with Agile methodologies and strong unit and automation testing practices to deliver high-quality software products.
